Relaxed, Carefree Intimate Wedding Day

Alina + Oliver had the most meaningful intimate wedding day at Hiwassee Acres in Chattanooga Tennessee. It was carefree, relaxed and full of emotion.

They spent the weekend at Hiwassee Acres staying at the gorgeous inn next to a river and rolling hills with their closest friends. On the day of their ceremony, they spent the morning together over breakfast, then got ready slowly, Oliver writing vows with the sunlight dappling through the trees.

First looks

After Alina's mom buttoned up her dress, they shared a first look on the balcony, then headed down to their ceremony site together.

Their Intimate Ceremony

Their ceremony was relaxed and emotional. Officiated by a close friend, it felt very natural. Their guests sat in a semi-circle around them and shed tears and laughs. Rather than whisking them away after they sealed their vows, they greeted their guests and shared hugs and congratulations.

Couple's Portraits

I love this shot. Not just because of the colors in the mountains or the motion blur or the joy on their faces. But because it was unprompted and real. After their beautiful ceremony in the crepe myrtles, we were heading out to chase the light dwindling over the mountains. After loosening them up with some prompts I was giving Alina + Oliver a moment to be themselves and interact how they wanted. Alina grabbed Oliver’s hand and they spun around and around, Alina in bare feet and both of them full of joy. I couldn’t have planned this shot. Giving them the freedom to be themselves made it so beautiful 🤍

Relaxed Wedding Reception

This reception was perfect. Long tables lined with candles under string lights glowed with the sun setting behind the trees as Alina + Oliver danced together. It was the perfect catalyst for conversation over glasses of wine and when it came time to toast the newlyweds, the open microphone led to the most heartfelt spontaneous speeches! The night carried on with everyone dancing their hearts out under the stars.
